A mix of alcohol

increased dose of anti depressant

led to my most vivid dream.

Her wrinkle free face

pressed cheek to cheek with mine.

My glasses and her glasses misaligned

from the pressure of being so close

smiling I kiss her cheek

and she kisses mine.

when I woke up

I could not wait to call

tell her how much I love her

tell her if she’s okay, I’m okay.

it took ten seconds for me to remember

that I will never

get to do that again.
